We design sustainable buildings by linking centuries of building in our Dutch climate to relevant, smart solutions. Economical thinking and common sense are essential factors in this; after all, however smart you are with technology – saving energy starts with the functional design of a building.
Our approach to a project is low-tech. That does not necessarily mean that the least possible amount of installation and building technology is required, but it does mean that it is integrated instead of stacked. The goal is to come up with integrated solutions that contribute to a working environment that is as natural as possible and in which people feel comfortable in every conceivable way. The desired result is ultimately not just a high-quality energy-efficient building that is pleasant for the user, but also a building that has a positive effect on the immediate living environment.
Strotec is a new construction system based on prefab strawpanels and other materials that ask little or no energy in production or processing, where energy is saved by using efficient equipment and the use of ending fossil fuels is prevented. Architecten|en|en is the design partner in crime of the Strotec team.
